It is the same as the carbon one showed in the picture.
This plenum is easy to install. Weighs about 900 Gram. (32 Ounces). Build cooling baffles as per plan excluding rubbers. Then fit and trim top of baffles. Drill and attach plate nuts. I am not making any speed increase or other claims, but merely a permanent solution eliminating air leaks due to baffle rubbber not sealing well. However a reduction of about 10-15 degrees, as well as very even readings on CHT's and oil Temp has been reported.

I received my plenum last week for my RV6 as the cowl etc. Is the same as the RV7. The quality of the fibreglass work is fantastic, I decided on the fiberglass (not the Carbon Fiber)Just in case I had to modify the plenum. Offering it up to the Baffle installation on the engine everything looks good, Its only going to require a small amount of modifications to complete. This should become the standard on all Engine installations far superior to the Air seal fabric which wears out, leaks air affecting the overall cooling of the engine.

This is a very nice product. However..... it just didn't fit well at all in my plane. The rear was about 1/4" too wide, and the front inlet area required some surgery to make it fir well. Once I made the required alterations, it slipped in nicely and looks/works great. Thanks guys.

I'm very happy with the product I received.
The truth is I tried to build my own. The results were a desaster. I wasted a ton of time and alot of money and came up with a gargage can full of failures. Now I have my profesional built plenum from RVBits and it looks BEAUTIFUL. Thanks Jan

Jan and RVBits have shipped me a great plenum in a very timely matter from South Africa to the USA at a very reasonable price! Thanks again, Jim

I received my plenum lid today and I was stunned at the quality of the fibreglass work, compared to what came with the kit from Vans, this is bolt on and use quality.
If only Vans sourced their fibreglass parts from Jan I am sure there would be a few more RVs flying a lot sooner rather then spending time filling pin holes.
